Roger Merel

Roger Merel is responsible for the product strategy and system specifications for CTS’s innovations in RF Ceramic Filters for the past 8 years creating universal footprint families of duplexers, diplexers, and bandpass filters spanning 300MHz to 40GHz.  Previously, he had been a key contributor to RF and Optical innovations including 300MHz wide-band Analog-signal processing based Pre-distortion of RF Power Amplifiers at Scintera (now Maxim), 40+ Gbps Active Optical Cables based on CMOS Photonics at Luxtera (now Cisco), 7000-series Metro-Regional DWDM Optical Networking at Tellabs (now Infinera), and was the principal system architect for GTE AirFone’s Air-to-Ground Radio-Telephone (now Verizon) which was the first nation-wide digital mobile wireless network in North America including features such as low-bit-rate codecs, high-order RF modulation (16QAM), high-linearity multi-channel power amplifiers.
